What compels you to watch a movie? Is it suspense, action, sarcastic humor, maybe a little witchcraft thrown in there? Well “The Covenant” is that kind of movie. It is a film that will attract anybody for a sense of thrill, and excitement. According to Internet review sites The Covenant is somewhat of a modern version of The Lost Boys. I don’t really know cause I’ve never seen it, but I can assure you The Covenant is a great film; a movie to watch when you just want some time to spend with a good group of friends.

The Covenant takes place in a Massachusetts town called Ipswich. It follows the life of Caleb Danvers and his friends: Pogue Parry, Reid Garwin, and Tyler Sims. As four descendants of the five original families that settled in Ipswich Colony in the 1600’s, these boys are gifted with magical powers. But, when a young man is mysteriously killed one night after Chase Collins, the new boy, moves into town, Caleb and his friends begin to think if the fifth descendant is alive and there to wreak havoc.

As I said before, this movie is filled with exhilaration, thrill, and suspense, as well as a soundtrack of various artists from Rob Zombie to Stabbing Westward. I really enjoyed watching this movie and recommend it to anybody that’s into magic, action and rock music, or just people that like suspense thrillers. I give this movie 5 stars!!
