“Fame” is about a group of teens who go to the New York Academy of Performing Arts to become professionals at singing, dancing, or drama. Some of them must first overcome their individual issues and learn to express their “inner-selves” before they can actually succeed.
follows Malik (Collins Pennie), a boy with a slightly dark past; Denise (Naturi Naughton), a girl with a secret; and Jenny (Kay Panabaker), a girl that’s too tight to have fun.
The actors played their parts very well, and those that sang had good voices, some even had great voices. The filming and special effects were great. The music fit superbly. In my opinion the movie isn’t meant for a young audience, because of some sexually suggestive dancing, though teens would enjoy it. The movie was more than a journey in the development of professional artists. It was a celebration of modern dance and music and, when the movie was over, it made me want to sing and dance too. (If only I could).
I give this movie 3 stars.

The plot of the movie shifts focus among several students. There is Jenny (Kay Panabaker), a tense and serious girl who rarely lets herself have fun, and, among others, Malik (Collins Pennie), an angry boy with a past that hinders his ability to act.
The movie had a confusing scene when a briefly seen character was brought in as if we knew him, yet I was thinking, “Who’s he?” The music, musicians, and singers were very good, as well as the dancers. I think that any “young” adult who enjoys music will like this movie, since it has quite a lot of it. The special effects were well done, the dialogue good, and the characters interesting.
I give this movie 3 dancing stars.
