What happens when you take the classic fairy tale of Cinderella and give it a modern twist is that you get "A Cinderella story" a story where the kingdom is no other than Los Angeles , California. Where Sam Montgomery (played by Hilary Duff) is our one and only princess.

The story goes like this:
Sam was the princess of her own kingdom. But her kingdom came crashing down one day when her father was killed trying to save her step-mother Fiona (Jennifer Coolidge) and her twin step-sisters. When Sam was little her dad use to her to her from a fairy tale book. He told her that her future would always be found in that book. She didn’t know what that meant just then. He also told her that all princess go to Princeton University. So she was determined to get into Princeton. One day while she was in a Princeton chat room she started talking to a guy who she thought was just awesome . She found out that he went to the same school as her. They always e-mailed, Instant Messaged, and Text Messaged each other. They learned a lot about each other. But they kept their real identities secret from each other. In time her prince was getting anxious to meet her and they decided to reveal themselves at the schools Halloween dance.

When Sam got home after school, Fiona told her that she had to work the late shift a the diner. No matter how much she told her that she had to go to the dance. Fiona just told her no. While she was at the diner her fairy godmother came to her rescue, and told Sam that she had to go to that dance. So she went to the dance to meet her prince in the middle of the dance floor at 11:00 pm . When she saw him she knew who it was . It was Austin Ames (Chad Michael Murray), the captain of the football team. He was dating the captain of the cheerleading squad, but dumped her before the dance to meet his princess. When the clock struck midnight Sam had to run back to reality. Then her worst nightmare happened her two step-sisters went through her e-mails, then gave them to Austin’s ex-girlfriend. At the schools pep rally they all made a skit and reviled who the princess was. When everyone found out, she was humiliated. Austin ignored her at school. That night, at the school football game, Austin went and rescued his princess.

I loved the movie I suggest it to anyone who believes in fairy tales
