On October 27, just four days before Halloween, a long awaited thriller was released into theaters. Yes, I’m talking about SAW III, the one movie every horror movie fanatic had been waiting for since the jaw dropping ending of SAW II. According to a box office summary on rottentomatoes.com SAW III brought in close to $ 33,610,391 in its first week! Well I saw the movie and I must say that it was great. I’m serious.

Ok so the movie is the sequel to SAW II, which is a sequel to the first movie of the series, SAW. So if you have never seen the first two, I definitely advise you to watch them, you will be confused if you don’t. As I was saying, SAW III is a movie about “Jigsaw” who along with his assistant Amanda kidnap surgeon Lynn Denlon in hopes that she will save him from his life threatening brain tumor. But Lynn isn’t the only person he decided to put to the “test”; he also has his eye on Jeff whose mind has been blinded by revenge for his son’s death. When Jeff wakes up in a wooden box, he escapes only to figure out that he’s in a warehouse where Jigsaw and Amanda have set gruesome test for him behind every door. This horror film is one of the best I’ve seen, and believe me I’ve had my share of crappy horror films (they were quite funny actually). But I must inform you that SAW III tops the previous films on the fact that it is graphic on the gory scenes; there is also some brief nudity but nothing to worry about. It is rated R though, so people younger then 17 or 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

On a lighter note I shall grant this movie 4 stars..
